Here’s a picture of the idol that I referenced in the video. The village elders gave this “little god” to my father about a year after they had been baptized. They delayed in giving this idol up because they wanted to see if the Triune God that the missionary proclaimed was true to His Word.

(compare the idols of Psalm 115 with the incarnate Jesus, the “Word made flesh”, in John 1)

The Psalms are not just meant to be read with the eyes but heard with the ears. They are songs, shouts, sighs and laments. If you would like to listen to me read the Psalms for the day you can do so below. (I’ll be using the World English Bible-British Edition WEB-BE version of the Bible because it is in the public domain).
